I left my mini lathe running for 30 minutes (whoops), could this have damaged it?

I recently left my mini lathe running accidentally for about 30 minutes. When I got back it was extremely hot, but still operates fine. I am a woodworker and know nothing about the internal workings of electric motors, bearings, etc. The lathe is nearly brand new. Could this have damaged my lathe, or decreased its life expectancy? Thanks.
