Will I lose any weight trying this?

I'm 5'6, and 135 pounds. I am used to being a size 6 but am a size 9 at the moment. I just want to get back to my normal size. I recently moved to Germany and started eating all of these rich European foods. For the next 2 weeks I was going to try a 1000 calorie diet instead of pork & potatoes every night...healthier foods & less portions. Also going to start walking some of the trails around my house...some strenuous, some not. I was just wondering if this will do anything for me or not. I know it would be very hard to do. Now the other way, my Godfather inspires me because he is very wealthy and well off, a good person, smart, and has a good family. He owns a company that my dad is vice prez of and he also invented the gameshark and has owned other countries and just recently opened a bar/restaurant that is doing very well. Why do teenagers attack their parents?

I am a 34 year old single (no children) american male and i am wondering why teens attack their parents. I was once a teenager myself, and i realize that your parents are not into teenage things, they probably desire waht's best for you, you have the right to disagree....but do you have to be so mean? Getting Drunk At Weddings?

It really all depends on your situation. My fiancee is 22 and I am 21, so I really don't think it would be appropriate to have an open bar. I have seen how his friends act while highly intoxicated, and I don't want that at my wedding. Granted, they are going to get drunk either way but I know people will get more drunk if there is an open bar. People tend to take advantage of that sort of thing. I am not shunning them, but I think it depends on where you are and the age group you are in.

Would the dr do a hysterectomy with my c section?

with my first pregnancy (c section) i bled soo badly they were talking about taking me back in the operating room and giving me a hysterectomy... my blood pressure had sank to 37/23 because i had lost soo much blood and i had 2 blood transfusions.... now is it a possiblity that the dr would let me just have a hysterectomy along with the c section? and if i did would that eliminate the possibility to bleed out again? because if they were just going to take me in and do a hysterectomy to STOP my bleeding, wouldn't that erase the possibilty to bleed out if they just do it with the next c section? and has anyone had a c section AND a hysterectomy at the same time!?

New young budgie problem?

we have just bought 2 sweet budgies, one is fine and dandy, the other seems to have deformed feet..although it seems fine on a perch he does seem to walk funny..is this a major problem and should i seek a vets advice? both budgies are very young and are so tame it is unreal...any help or advice would be great...thanks

It's caused by reflections inside the lens. It can happen to a very small degree whenever you have any light source shining directly into the lens, but it's really noticeable with the sun. Really good (and expensive) lenses have coatings and baffles in their construction that reduce this effect.

Broken L on on the Nintendo DSI?

I'm not sure if Gamestop will do anything,but it wouldn't hurt to take it in and see if someone could help.If you are not too worried about tinkering with the DS,open it up and have a look at the L on.Maybe it was pushed out of place slightly,or maybe whatever it pushes on has a problem.If you take it apart,realign the L on and try a few times and it still doesn't work,then there must be something wrong with the area beneath the L on.I can't help any further than tinkering with the on,as I have never had a problem like this happen to my DS.

Oprey Argon or Aether? Arc'Teryx Altra?

Well the real difference is the weight. The Aether is a stripped down lightweight version of the Argon. It will have a lighter suspension system, less features, and possibly a lighter material. It is about 1.5 lbs lighter if I remember correctly, which is significant, but you will sacrifice on features and comfort. Either way, 75-85 L is a big bag. Dont get me wrong, I own the Aether 85, but trust me, it is big. Way too big for solo hiking. Most solo trips, except dead cold winter ones, should only require 50L or less. I have only used the 85L bag for multi-day mountaineering trips. It is probably best to get mulitple bags, and if you think you will be doing the hiking first and foremost, I would get that type of bag first. As far as the Arcteryx bag goes, Im not familiar with it, but their gear, while expensive, is very high quality. I don't think they would make "gimmicky" gear. The downside with their gear, especially packs, is that they are inexcusably heavy (usually).

Today I got a call from a friend of mine saying that my sons father is getting out of prison this month, has an attorney, has saved three years worth of work release pay, and is going to fight for his rights to my child!!!! My son is 7 1/2 yrs old and has only seen his bio dad once, when he was a newborn. Of the past 7 1/2 yrs, I beleive his bio dad was a free man approximately for 1 yr. The other 6 1/2 yrs he was incarcerated for various reasons, on two seperate occaisions. I have been happily married for 7 yrs, and we have 2 more children and one stepchild. We are a stable, happy family of five, and hope that things stay this way! What do we do now? I do not even know this person anymore. I am not going to lie down and let him interrupt, or possibly hurt my child or family. He has nothing to offer my son, and I am worried that he may do okay for awhile, then go back to jail, and hurt my son in the process. I have tried filing charges for abandonment, but incarceration does not count as abandonment here in Florida?! I will push for drug testing/couseling, anger management, supervised visitation, parenting cles, and anything else to keep my son safe. Bio dad says he is willing. He is a liar though, and I do not want him to emotionally damage my child. He tells people things like I am still writing him letters, which is absurd! Why does my philips pfl5522d 32inch lcd tv display a 1080p signal whilst connected to my PS3?

philips says that the 32pfl552d/05 is only capable of resolutions up to 1080i. I've set my PS3 to display the highest resolution possible when playing a disc and whatever that resolution is, a small display icon appears at the top of the screen displaying the current resolution. frequently it has said 1080p. for example the ps3 is set to upscale all dvds to the highest resolution the tv is capable of. and it always shows as 1080p on the little tv display. the same with ps3 games that are 1080p capable. does this mean my tv is actually displaying 1080p?

So this has been this way from the beginning. before we got married we had one time. well tried would be better because the ammount of pain she was in was un berable and i could see it. then we got married and have been pretty frequent with our visits down under. at one point it was pretty close to every night( minus that part of the month). Now thats all fine and dandy It works just fine. The issue i am having is now. Now when i finish inside of her she hurts so bad she is in tears. no itch no smell just Tears she has been to several different doctors and a gyno or too and no one can see m to tell her what is wrong. she is pretty good when i dont finish inside her she is always a little tender but nothing to the extreme of when i do finish inside of her. My boyfriend and I have been together for about a year now and we are still in school. We know that we are perfect for each other; he is the one for me. I'm sure if you've felt that, you'll understand what I mean and feel. At school we were inseparable, until now. The school has regarded him as a trouble maker, ever since first grade (it is a private school). He is not what you would consider bad though, actually, he was the only one in that hell hole who actually has their values (never cusses, very charitable, insanely smart with better common sense than most, loves me with all of his heart and shows it, etc.). But he did sometimes have a hard time with self-control in the past, even though he'd gotten better now. One of the students recently made up that he said something very racist, which he didn't. There was a big conference and he was told that if he did anything else he would be expelled. Last Friday, he was reading to little kids and he was sneezing, to keep them entertained, he pretended to wipe it on one of them, he did NOT actually wipe it on the little boy. The kid went home and I guess thought it was hilarious and told his parents. His parents were upset by it and sent in a note to school and my other half was told he could either leave the school (and not have expulsion on his permanent record) or be expelled. He left which means he still has a chance to go to my high school. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. We were always with each other, he is my best friend, and now he is gone from me at school, the only person I get or gets me is gone. He is the only person I ever want to be with ever. I don't care if everyone I know moves or dies or leaves aslong as I have him with me. I've been a wreck since I found out. I cry whenever I see something that reminds me of him, is it strange? I mean responding to this like he died or something. My mom is dying of Bone marrow cancer, it's progressing daily. I live by the law of attraction and try to share it as much as possible. It's the most aggrevating thing when people doubt the secret because (QUOTE from an answer on my last question) "children are getting d and theirs no reason to be positive about that"....i guess i could give up hope and watch my mom die because there is no reason to be positive, good idea? uhh noo! I KNOW this because before i surrendered to either, i was a drink and a line of cocaine away from rehab. Finding the secret saved my life and asking each day that my mom can stay here on earth with me is probably why she hasnt already ped. How to I tell my MIL to back off? (nicely)?

After a year or more of praying and budgeting and saving, my husband and I have made the decision for me to quit my job and be a stay-at-home mama. We are financially secure and can easily make it on one salary, although we will be making a few cuts in certain areas. He and I are thrilled, and the kids are so happy to have Mom at home now. The rest of our family is in full support, but his mom called today and just chewed his ear about how upset she was that I was quitting. Some of her reasoning: "There are people out there just dying for a good job, and you would just walk away from yours?" also, "What are you going to do for insurance?" Oh and my favorite, "Dad and I are going to be the ones who are responsible for bailing you out." Certainly as a mom she'd have a right to be concerned if we were making a flippant decision, but we've thought this through carefully for a long time and it is clearly the right thing to do. We've got the insurance thing nailed down, and as far as the people who are dying for jobs well guess what? One just opened up-mine! That's like telling my kids they had better eat their food because of the starving kids in India. As if our situation relates to the other. And yes, my hubby has borrowed money from them in the past but it has been paid in full for a long time now. And we've made it clear to her that I'm not going to be sitting around eating bonbons...we have 3 kids so I am definitely going to be plenty busy. Anyway my question is has anyone been in the situation of a parent's total disapproval and how do you deal with it respectfully? Is my dog food giving my dogs diarrhea?

I have 3 pit bulls (age 1yr) and I think their food is giving them diarrhea. They WERE on Purina Kibbles and Chunks and were doing fine, but I wanted to get them a better dog food. So, I switched them all (gradually) to Nature's Recipe Lamb Meal and Rice, which is supposed to be better for them. But now they all have diarrhea on a pretty regular basis. I need to know if I should try switching them back to Purina (which I would rather not do) or if there's a quality dog food available that is better for dogs of their size. My mom, her twin, myself and one of my other aunts all experience different variations of prophesy like run-ins. Alot of it depends on what you eat, if you eat healthy than you shouldn't have too much fat around the stomach so it is easier to see your abs. In your case, as you said your very skinny, it shouldn't be a problem to get your abs showing! Just do as many as you can and try to repeat it again few times after a few minutes rest. There are also plenty of other exercises you could do though to stop you from getting bored of just doing sit ups. Just search google and im sure you will find plenty of good exercises for your abs!

Toys for a mellow puppy?

We just got our 4 month old puppy on Monday. She is very gentle, not nervous, but she is very mild and mellow mannered and just happy to be. She has obviously been through a lot as she is very underweight (she'll be a 60-70 pound dog but is currently 15 pounds). We're having trouble getting her to play with her toys. I recently bought a 2 year old Westie female, only to discover that she has Malezia Dermatitis. The vet claims that the only treatment for this is medication that will cost about €1000 a year. I would tell him that is unreasonable, maybe get someone from your mental health team to contact him? Make sure you are definitely ready to go back to work, it is a huge step. Penalties for Subsequent charge while on probation in VA?

Ok well basically I got pulled over with beer in my car and I took the rap for the underage possession. So I went to court and I have a deferred sentence which basically means I have to be on "probation" until i complete 50 hours off Comm. Service. I also only have to meet with the probation officer once a month. So last night I needed a ride home from a party and these seniors from my old high school give me a ride(I am 20 ). The kid runs a red light with police right behind us and unfortunately I had under a G of weed. So basically I just want to know what can happen and how can I help myself. Obviously quit smoking, which i have made the decision to do, but is there something else I can do like do more hours of community service? or something take substance abuse cles? OMG i just melted when i saw those pics! too cute! it's a little too early to make an accurate guess on what breed he is. he looks extremely young like 8 weeks old. maybe not even that old because my beagle was bigger than this at 8 weeks. has he had all puppy shots? i would definitely recommend taking this lil guy to the vet to have a checkup. the vet could give you some good advice on training too. i'm not sure how to deal with biting other than being really firm with him. your dog has to respect you in order to do that be very dominant and firm.
