HORRIBLY DRY POOFY HAIR!?

i have the dryest hair imaginable, and its straight. which makes it look even worse. im pretty sure it was from all the straightning ive done. but i cant seem to lay off the straightening! like its dry, so i have to straighten so its pretty, but then that makes it dry so its this giant never ending circle. please dont yell at me for not taking care of my hair, im in junior high, there's a lot of pressure. anyways, what should i do? ive also heard of fx special effect silk drops, will that help? thanks! :)
