Do American's trust their own government anymore?

American's have voted George Dubya back in for the second time which is more naive than outrightly stupid. But given even the government now sees the CIA as commiting criminal activity does this not show that their own government, accused and rightly exposed by their own US government department show that the gov cannot be trusted? Or are American's going to step up from naive to outrightly stupid and par with their own president? Still waiting to see how burning all bridges with allies, getting a 1.5 trillion USD debt, fighting an immoral war (WMD's still yet not found and Iraq more dangerous than ever it was under a dictator) and having troops murdered daily for a lie is good for the country. What do you think?
