Eye of the needle by Ken Follett?

A friend of mine recommended this book to me but didn't provide a synopsis and i can seem to find one or the novel itself, has anyone read it? If so any info about it or the author is appreciated, also feel free to throw spoilers in if u must i probly won't end up reading it haha
