Why do teenagers attack their parents?

I am a 34 year old single (no children) american male and i am wondering why teens attack their parents. I was once a teenager myself, and i realize that your parents are not into teenage things, they probably desire waht's best for you, you have the right to disagree....but do you have to be so mean? Try to imagine yourself in their shoes.No, don't, because you can't.Just try to be diplomatic and stop being a spoiled brat, please, mom and dad would be perplexed.
