About s h a v i n g ?

I have a semi dance coming ups soon, and I want to get a nice razor to shave. I am a14 year old girl and have never shaven before. Don't worry, I use an epilator, but It hurts a lot and I do not see that it epilates very well. Do you think that I should switch to shaving?? Which razor should I use? Oh and, what are the pros and cons of shaving? Please, I need someone's opinion!
