Broken L on on the Nintendo DSI?

I'm not sure if Gamestop will do anything,but it wouldn't hurt to take it in and see if someone could help.If you are not too worried about tinkering with the DS,open it up and have a look at the L on.Maybe it was pushed out of place slightly,or maybe whatever it pushes on has a problem.If you take it apart,realign the L on and try a few times and it still doesn't work,then there must be something wrong with the area beneath the L on.I can't help any further than tinkering with the on,as I have never had a problem like this happen to my DS.
