Why do people think it is important to convert people to their religion?

I am a Druid my fiancee is a Wiccan. I am so sick of every Catholic, Christian, and all the others saying we are doomed to Hell. Our religions believe in personal preference we do not force ourselves on others. I mean look at the world more people have been killed over the belief of God (whatever form or name) Than for any other reason.
